Collection: Martin Žampach
Martin Žampach designs objects that feel alive in the hand and effortless in the home—pure lines, rhythmic geometry, and a quiet sense of motion that reveals itself the longer you look. He calls it “functional beauty created layer by layer,” and you can read that promise in every ridge, radius and reflection across his vases, lamps and tables.
Trained first as a glass artist in Luhačovice, then in product and furniture design in Zlín and Krakow, he brings the discipline of craft to a resolutely contemporary language. That foundation—material sensitivity, proportion and light—shows in the way his pieces cast measured shadows, catch slim highlights and settle into a room with architectural calm rather than volume.
His eye has been shaped on the road. Time in studios across Brazil, Spain and Russia introduced him to diverse aesthetics and exacting standards; the result is a cosmopolitan palette and a love of precise, purposeful detail. You see it in profiles that are refined to the millimetre and surfaces that feel drawn rather than decorated.
Collectors and critics have taken note. KON glassware won the Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum; a collaborative protective mask later received the same honour. Further recognition followed with a BigSEE Product Design Award for JETSURF and a New York Product Design Award for a Thermo Fisher Scientific electron-microscope keyboard—milestones that speak to both poetry and performance.
Today, his signature vase families—Spiral, Zigzag, Wave and Bubbles—translate algorithmic clarity into warm, tactile form. Slender flutes become lines of light; generous cylinders read as sculptural anchors; patterned surfaces turn daylight into a slow, shifting choreography. Each design is optimised for additive manufacturing, so geometry stays crisp and the hand meets a satisfyingly smooth, deliberate finish.
For furniture, the LOOPS series extends that language into space. A large-format robotic process “draws” continuous bases in confident sweeps, paired with striking tabletops crafted from recycled material. The effect is graphic and gallery-worthy, yet welcoming—objects that feel rigorous on paper and effortlessly right in a living room.
Whether you choose a small accent or a room-defining piece, you’re bringing home design that rewards daily life: forms that organise a space, clarify its lines and add a measured sense of rhythm. In 2024, that clarity of vision earned Martin a nomination at the Elle Deco International Design Awards—an acknowledgement of what owners already know. His work doesn’t chase attention; it creates it, quietly and lastingly.
